The Presby Iris Gardens in Upper Montclair, NJ are very famous and are usually in full bloom around Memorial Day. I usually go there every few years. The year this was shot the day was very hot and humid. It started to rain lightly so I decided to stand under some trees and wait for it to stop when out of no where a crack of lightening struck way too close for comfort. I immediately took shelter in the house on the property instead of getting in my car and leaving. The rain didn’t last long and when I ventured out again the water drops on the flowers were beautiful. I’m so glad I stayed.
