This past Sunday, I had the opportunity to join a camera club from PA and John Barclay http://johnbarclayphotography.com to shoot the Font Hill Castle in Doylestown, PA. Font Hill was built by Henry Chapman Mercer from 1908-1912 and was constructed mostly by hand mixed and hand poured concrete. He was an archaeologist, anthropologist, ceramist, scholar and antiquarian. He built the castle to showcase his Moravian tiles that he designed and also his extensive collection of prints. Every room has an abundance of his Moravian tile as part of its decor, in addition to the many interesting and unusual furnishings and accessories.
