On one of my good days a few weeks ago, I went into Morristown to do some errands and then decided to take the long way back home driving out toward Lewis Morris Park. I decided to go to walk around Sunrise Lake. I know there are benches around the lake, so I could sit down if I needed a rest, but I was fine. It was a little windy, so I decided to take some slow shutter speed photos using the App Slow Cam on my iPhone. All my shots seemed to be saving to my camera roll but all I got were blank images. WARNING: I just upgraded to OS8 on my iPhone and iPad and have noticed some of my Apps aren’t working properly if at all. It’s no big deal for me since I found another app that does work, Long Exp, but I haven’t shot anything exciting with it yet. If you do have an iPhone or iPad, and are thinking of upgrading, make sure you back them up first. This way if you are having problems with OS8, you can go back very easily. This image was shot straight from the camera App, so at least I came away with something.

I’m trying to figure out how to get “my weekly view” on a separate page from “my daily view” but I haven’t figured it out yet so for now I just changed the name and it’s a continuation of last years blog. My brain hurts so I’m giving up for now.
I took this image with a new lens I purchased for my Canon 5D MKIII. Because it’s has a full frame sensor, I was looking for a really wide angle lens (the widest I have is a Canon 16-35). My only Canon option was their fisheye lens, but that’s not the effect I was looking for so I decided to try the Sigma. Unfortunately, this shot doesn’t really show the wide angle effect it can have. I will try and test it out some more this week and see if it’s worth keeping and share the results with you.

Thank your all for the wonderful comments and following “my daily view” in 2013. I get so much pleasure sharing my images with you. I will be taking at least two exciting photo workshops in the next 6 months. One is in Death Valley this Feb., and the other is back in Yosemite in May. I can’t wait to share my photos with you from them so please continue following “my weekly view” for 2014.
wow, look at all the grass and trees!
