I went to Nelson, Nevada, which is about 45 miles south of Las Vegas the afternoon before I flew home. I was told it was a great place to take photos. There is an abandoned gold and silver mine there with all the original equipment and some original buildings. But what makes it more fun is all the “stuff” the people who own it have collected. There are rusted cars, trucks, buses, a crashed plane, trailers and all kinds of things. It is very popular with fashion and wedding photographers. I just wish I had given myself more time there. If you ever get out to Vegas and have the time, go check it out. They give tours but I didn’t have time to take one.
